| Overview | Koito Ware Pottery (Hida Takayama City) is a traditional kiln with roots dating back to the Edo Kan’ei period. While carrying on the tradition of the “Irabo” glaze, they also offer their own unique, sophisticated cobalt blue “Aoi Irabo.” They handle a wide range of products, from tableware for everyday use to tea ceremony utensils, and enjoy tea using local tableware and Hida matcha. At this long-established tea shop, founded in 1880, we offer a matcha tea ceremony experience that even those with no tea ceremony experience can enjoy. Dress code and etiquette are optional, so you can participate in casual attire. Enjoy a moment of exposure to Japanese culture as you sip matcha and savor Japanese sweets under the guidance of our staff. |
