Honoki-Daira Ski Resort

There are various courses so that both beginners and skilled skiers can have a great time. With a special “Kids’ Gelande,” children can enjoy playing in the snow. Visitors can warm up in the “Joyful Honoki Sukunanoyu” hot spring after skiing.

Access(By rail)
40 minute bus ride from JR Takayama Honsen Takayama Station. Get off at Honoki-Daira Ski Resort.

 

 

Hida Funayama Snow Resort Arkopia

With the course’s relatively gentle slopes, even beginners can confidently ski here. There are two quad ski lifts, so your wait time will be very short. The “Kids’ Gelande” is equipped with a snow escalator, so families with small children can easily enjoy this area of the resort as well. Fun events are held every Sunday.

Access

(By rail)
Travel to JR Takayama Honsen Kuguno Station using a local train or a limited express “Wide View Hida.” A free courtesy shuttle bus is available from Kuguno Station on Saturdays, Sundays and National Holidays. It takes 15 minutes.
Leaving Kuguno Station: 8:45a.m.
Leaving Arkopia Ski Resort: 3:50p.m.

Hirayu Spa Snow Area

Hirayu Spa Snow Area is only 1 minute walk from the “Hirayunomori” hot spring. The “Family Gelande” has a wide layout with compacted snow. This area is very popular with beginning skiers and families with children. The “Kamoshika Gelande” with a sharp 40 degree slope is suitable for intermediate skiers who wish to improve their skills. The “Giant Course” is for advanced skiers and has many obstructions and more serious slope settings of slope-maximum is 38 degrees and average is 26 degrees-and is 1.5 kilometers long. After skiing at Hirayu Spa Snow Area, visitors can enjoy a bath in the historical hot spring resort. The water is known to have many health benefits.
